In theory yes. California is biggest international almond producer therefore some see it as a strong bullish indicator of higher international spot pricing. Me...not so much as it pertains to SHV. Unlike oil spot price is indicative only. Producers tailor price to they're own market. Then there is quality, local dollar value, client market and with SHV product diversification. Overall it is one of many variables that assists bullishness but certainly should not be considered in isolation IMO.
