Before they save California's aquifers from running dry, they might like to do some work a little closer to home.

Water Corporation is taking action to replenish depleted ground water in Perth with treated waste water. Why couldn't they consider using desalinated freshwater created by wave energy to replenish the critically depleted aquifers?

There is something compelling about solving a localised problem, using technology that has been locally developed.

This is not the first time I have thrown this out there, thanks for reminding me, ceto.

Water Corporation and Carnegie Wave Energy have had a cooperation agreement for two years, what could be better than cooperating in this way to save there own home town?

A pilot scheme in Perth could be followed up with something bigger, before moving on to California, and then Florida, or any of the other cities around the world that have been sucking there ground water supplies dry.
