When Interferon and Ribavirin were first getting pretty good results with HCV they took a long time (years) to label the resulting viral decline as a "cure".

If Tye is "undetectable" without ever taking ART then Cal-1 must be responsible. It is going to be a very long time before they claim a cure but IMO they have nailed it. Meanwhile the line will be that they have a safe, side effect free, alternative to the ART.

We are a long way from uncomplicated and affordable mass injections so it is not being hailed from the rooftops that HIV has been beaten... but the writing is on the wall.
