    I am extremely critical of the carbon tax as proposed (also an AGW skeptic). I prefer direct action over it and have mentioned that in previous posts. Both the bureaucratic and wealth distribition aspects of the carbon tax and direct action have inherent deficiencies and can be politically manipulated.

    I do think this proposal is superior to both but will need to look at the modelling. It takes the market aspect, raises only what is needed, leads to smaller electricity price costs and cuts out the banks as it is traded only by industry participants without entering the bureaucratic blackhole.
