Balt - yes its all true - and the 'nearness' reference - We've all seen/have to tolerate this constant low volume multiple trading that is SO OBVIOUSLY to manipulate. It has been much discussed and is increasingly so by mainstream media and the likes of Harvey Norman who is actively fighting shorting manipulation of his own company stock.

IMO it could be regulated easily, but for the resistance of those with the power, eg a small (say 10c) tax per trade including hoax/false or genuine bids that are placed and pulled at the last minute.

I reckon it would be a small price to pay for 'a level playing field' for all
