STRESSING the US President had a "duty to lead", George W. Bush made clear yesterday he was prepared to launch more pre-emptive strikes to protect the US even if other countries continued to disagree with his policy.
Mr Bush, speaking at his first press conference since being re-elected this week, said he would be reaching out to countries that disagreed with his invasion of Iraq in the hope of finding common ground and purpose.
