VOLT: You understood me correctly. If we see economic improvement in coming months, people should not be alarmed if they also see unmployment rise at the same time. It's a lagging indicator.
I am conservative enought to believe in GDP as the measure of economic growth, despite the tendency lately, especially in the US, to ignore the figures and use the word recession loosely.
