um, they don't know what they've got until they test. It's as simple as that. Hole upon hole has been drilled in surrounding areas, with the known potential no different today than it was years ago.
The word potential is thrown around by every oiler...
I do not fall for the strategic setup of leases and manufactured delay because they think they MIGHT have something.
It's a simple equation for the big guys, and all it is, is about the risk vs reward, nothing more, and i personally don't read into anything more than that.
of course just my opinion.
