I dont think they are the laughing stock in the international community, rather admired in they got their money back. They would be a laughing stock if they hadnt acted the way they did.
Everything with hindsight is considered inappropriate.
ANZ should not have funded the likes of Opes etc or small buisnesses or individuals buying homes. But they took a risk as does everybody else and this time it didnt work out.
What concerns me is the campiagn to destroy the value of ANZ shareholders through a nasty campiagn. the poor ANZ shareholders proably wouldnt agree with what happened but to cause a shareholders to loose several billions because another group suffered a loss is not really focusing on the persons that did this Emini and his 6 special friends.
But revenge is what seems to be on the backs of many who made the wrong decisison.
