Interesting, but the nub of my comment was that a discussion concerning funding takes place between two parties (you and the official from MSB), and that discussion actively omits what would objectively be considered to be a very germane topic, namely both - as opposed to just one - prospective funding partner.

MSB is on the record as saying that they are in partnership discussions with Celgene and Mallinckrodt.

Yet in your call with MSB, only one of these counter-parties is discussed, namely the one that is highly indebted with limited surplus capital available to contribute to any potential partnership.

Strangely, the other - the one that is the far larger of the two counter-parties, which is in a far stronger financial position and therefore has greater scope to be a meaningful financial partner - receives no mention whatsoever.

Presumably you have your own reasons for not feeling the need to be updated on Celgene, but I would have thought - in the context of the company representative saying "there were several other pharmas in negotiations" - that he/she might have volunteered some kind of update on the progress of the negotiations with Celgene.
