By the way, Australia is truly a country Blessed with so much. Her People & Her Resources are here, I believe, by grand design rather than by chance.
To be a part of CTP and perhaps the greatest discoveries yet to be found in this continent is awesome.
It's not a minor thing to realise that when things do work out, most of the CTP folk are going to be responsible for amounts of wealth not previously in their grasp.
For each of us will come the choices of what to do.
I hope that each of us truly seize the opportunity given to us to make a difference in our world. Both with our own families at home and, perhaps, abroad.

I began to study CTP in July.
I commenced holding just this last week.
I thought it may help the "CTP family"
by posting some of the basic terms that will
help to educate all of us.

Measurements ...

bpd..... Barrels per day
bcf..... Billion cubic feet
boe..... Barrel of oil equivalent - Natural Gas converted at a 6 mcf to 1 barrel of oil ratio

boed.... Barrel of Oil Equivalent / per day
gj...... gigajoule – measure of heat content gas
mbbls... Thousand barrels
mboe.... Thousand barrels of oil equivalent
mcf..... Thousand cubic feet of gas
mmbls... Million barrels
mmboe... Million barrels of oil equivalent
mmbtu... Million British thermal units of gas
mmcf.... Million cubic feet
RLI..... Reserve life index

SO, when You read.. barrel or bbl or bbls this is a crude oil measurement equivalent to ...
34.973 imperial gallons or
42 U.S. gallons
1 U.S. gallon = 3.78 litres
so, 42 U.S. gallons = 159 litres.

For any one that wasn't sure,
It goes with out saying the most important term
for the CTP crew to learn first regarding oil is...
mmbls = Million barrels.
Because it looks like we've got "mmmm" of them !
