Well, my comment was a joke. That maybe these difficulties are just a clever strategy to reduce funding to the competition, so long-term ORE could secure the local resources.
I invested a lot of money in ORE in 2013 and I'm sitting on large profits. Low debt, good cash pile, strong income, strong resource demand. This is not a failing company. But the share price got ahead of itself and expectations were dashed, leading to a crop of frustrated investors who bought in too late and opportunistic shorters ready to take advantage. The share price is in limbo; not high enough to make recent investors happy but not low enough to encourage new, optimistic investors to buy in (they're over in the PLS forum. Disclosure, I own PLS, which I rate a buy).
Has the company's performance been bad? Yes. Is the current share price deserved? Yes. But is the long-term vision fundamentally flawed? Not that I can tell, so I'm perfectly happy to keep holding.
