You dismiss the CCP's ability adapt to the needs of the people "going forward" far too readily.

Westerners - predicting the imminent fall of CCP (and all that would wreak on China) - actually garner more support for the CCP at home.

But of course, let's not forget that the CCP is a political party, so as you infer they use a lot of "spin", but what political party doesn't. And as for wreckless monetary policy?? Well they're hardly the Lone Ranger there.
