I would respond to Kay by pointing out the problems with his experiment and that it does not prove things one way or another. It is important to remember that the haemophilia trial did actually achieve therapeutic response that was clinically significant and it used a a v 8. Another recent article in Nature points out that transduction is not efficient if not all capsules contain active virion strands. Nevertheless you cannot say that this trial is risk free by any means. I would love KSS or Benitec to respond.
