speculation indeed, people want hints...I would have thought the quarterly update would have cried out hints!
Seems pretty clear they are in bed with Petrosen, (multiple references to their support and attending the Nov African oil conference?) and so they are clearly expecting the renewal.
The only reason in my mind the lease may not be renewed is if FAR cannot accept the terms of a new lease, but this is highly unlikely, since then Senegal would be left to open the search up and go thru the whole long process again.
No, it must be renewed and FAR will get a JV shortly there after because the key prospects were not part of the CSEM, so there is still lots of upside.
A blindfolded person could probably stick a needle in the West African coastal map and strike oil these days!
