Nido is dead scared of being taken over. They do not want to pass the imminent major wealth available to all shareholders to another company for the sake of some short term relatively small gain.
True - good management/leadership is the key to realising value. Nido has been guilty of overpromising on timelines - nothing else. They have not overstated reserves, underestimated expenses etc. Nido will have to prove itself as a good manager of valuable asets to the betterment of all shareholders. I have now doubt they will do that. I can see the logic more clearly with the sizeable team they now have - if you are managing mutli-billion dollar value assets you need a good team. Nido is being confused with a minor exploration play - it is clearly no longer that.
Nido has been crabbing for the last 18 months because nothing much has happened, not because of a lack of "leadership". This gestation perod is almost over.
There will be some crab inertia to get over in the coming weeks but once the investors/punters realise that there is enormous unrecognised value in Nido/YGL at current levels the SP will be pushed signficantly higher, especially when they release the possible/probable numbers in the SC 54 & 58 targets.
Don't be fooled by the lack of SP performance of late - times are a changin..
