Bob has already indicated that many more wells will be required to firm up both Poseidon & Santos, as do your comments.
Asking as someone with no industry experience compared to someone who seems to have plenty, is it most likely that external funding will be incremental in step with the firming up of resources, as opposed to an imminent & pre-emptive offer like "Bosh! Here's $3bn for the lot"?
Just speculating on a likely timeframe for a takeover or merger with a producer.
