Too much noise.
Time perhaps for some calm and personal perspective:
1. Nobody likes the biggest stock holder selling out and the price tanking
2. Can always be surprises, but no major news flow expected before year end, remembering it was a very positive peer review that lit a fire under the SP around this time last year and into July. Could it happen again?
3. Is not “amyloid vs tau”, it is whether a reduction of Cortisol in the brain can make a measurable and significant difference to Alzheimer’s and/or Depression patients. Whilst it has not been a smoothe run, there is a raft of data that suggests it can
4. Very clearly the Exec team and the Board believe that, in Xanamen, they have a new, unique, safe and simple to prescribe drug, that works and they are incentivised to deliver the current trial. The fact that it is recognised as a new “class” of drug is important.
As a shareholder you always have choices:
A. No belief in the story, just Sell, lick your wounds and move on
B. With June 30 approaching, take some tax losses – many will. This time last year the low was 2.5c prior to a strong recovery. [History seldom repeats but it can rhyme!]
C. Look across your portfolio. When I personally do that, I cannot see any other stocks I own, which have a near term 5 or 10 times potential. Unpredictable with no certainty at all but, on balance, more upside potential than downside risk is my judgement. That leaves me, as reasonably large Shareholder, who has participated in all the Capital Raises, as a Hold
D. If you believe a company with this potential and a $64m Cap is a bargain, Buy!!
One way or the other, by Xmas, we will know.
