Hi, I am currently renting in Canberra paying $500 a week for a 3 bedroom townhouse about 25 kilometres south of civic(city).I dare say the rental market is very tight here. I just received a letter from the agency stating that they are increasing the rent. I am not too happy about this but there is not much I can do about it. I have been holding off buying a place due to my belief that house prices are way overvalued in comparison to wages. I really cant justify paying $500,000+ for a roof amd 4 walls. The quicker house prices become affordable the better for me and the future generation.
