Really ZBB is a competitor to VRB-ESS sold by PCE only because ZBB appears more able to make product at the moment.

VRB has been particularly slow in getting their new 2500 x 5/10kWhr unit production line into gear.

The kicker is really that the VRB units have 10000+ cycle life and don't die/explode if a membrane fails, the ZBB has many fewer cycles before rebuild and the results of a membrane failure that let Bromine and Zine mix should be exciting, too exciting for most long-term users.
