What pisses me off more though Is the elaborate corporate structures of these high end restaurants that protect the “owners” and limit the tax to zero
The largest reason businesses in this country go under is the ATO...the kids that work at the ATO will wind a business up at the drop of a hat over an outstanding tax bill and happily throw workers on the scrap heap....care factor zero.
Very very few restaurants can afford to create "elaborate corporate structures" to allegedly avoid tax. The majority struggle just to have a positive bottom line...often their only savior is depreciation and write backs.
...maybe you need to go in to business for your self one day and employ some people to actually see the reality?
