Yep agree with your comments there. I think one of the reasons for the volatility is because the market knows that the cleaner fuels project will adversely affect profits at the next reporting season but the underlying business is well sound and improving all the time with high Gasoline prices here and in the US.
No one really knows I suspect just how much the bottom line will be affected by the cleaner fuels upgrade and in the mean time, refining margins are looking strong. A good recipe for volatility.
