re: calvinistic methodists A piece of trivia.
Bonython Hall at Adelaide University was built by the Bonython family. Apparently they were strict Methodists and the floor in this hall has a slight slope to it to ensure that the hall would bever be used for dancing.
I did several exams in the Hall but never felt like dancing (I coudln't detect the slope, either)
I have had that piece of information in my head for close to 30 years and have never used it before. Now that I have passed it on I can, with a clean conscience, delete it form my memory and use that scarce resource to store something of more import.
