what makes you so sure it was in the vertical section of the well?

The way I read it, it sounded like they were stuck in the build section of the well, which I thought made more sense given we can expect more friction here? Looking more and more like our dogsleg is making this look like a dogs breakfast!

Did you like the use of the term 'partially opened' again?
OEX definiton in more detail is:

a. seat and ball milled

b. milling tool stuck


My take of the further action was 'bugger it - this well is going to eat us if we dont cut our losses now and just flow this puppy!'


I guess that answers my question of how they will handle one of their next major risks - flowback! Now we get to see if the frac was designed correctly. Whether their lifting equipment can handle the conditions? What rate they will flow at? Whether the frac was able to be placed and retained by the formation!!!!!

they didn't say we will now "attempt" to circulate the fluids did they though :)


Still bullish on OEX. Praying for 20cents.
