SF, if we take the report at face value then the "sand out" grabbed the milling BHA causing the drill string to over rotate then spring back and over rotate in the opposite direction. Hence the string parts, well done to the dude on the brake. The string will be most flexible somewhere in the middle. It's much like winding up a swing. You seem to have a good handle on drilling ops so I do not mean to talk down to you or anyone else. I hope this explanation is of some use to someone.

If circulation cannot be established via the drill string then there are other options in these wells. Should not be a big problem as it is sand and not a clay packoff.

As for the shares pushing down to 19-20c....someone is doing their best to get out in small parcels. My sentiment will be buy again soon enough. Same old same old until we get some good news. Two more weeks of angst.
