I think you're referring to CHEMAF. They lodged a claim against AVM for Mutoshi back in 2005 then reached a "confidential settlement" which apparently gave them the rights to continue with their artisinal cobalt operations on Mutoshi area for a few years. About the same time AVM went real quiet about the Mutoshi cobalt project (remember the "we aim to have cobalt project up and running within 2 yrs") - they'd spent $$$ completing 10000m of drilling and a resource statement was due, but to this day it's never been released. I'd been hoping that they were just keeping results confidential until they'd finally kicked CHEMAF of their ground but see it's now referred to on website as only a "small resource".

Anyway, CHEMAF have overstayed their welcome and AVM is considering means of forcing them off. Just hope this is accomplished without another opportunity for Sally Neighbour to sqawk some more....
