Yesterday was the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, and one of the guests at the dinner I attended is a lawyer who works for the US govt. on issues related to uranium, including deals involving Russian enrichment. We always talk about uranium when we see each other, but there's a lot he can't tell me because it's classified. I always bring up Silex/GLE and see what he has to say. What has surprised me is how little he seems to know about it. He couldn't remember who owned it... he thought it was still GE, and when I said they were close to being ready with the pilot plant, from his response, you'd think I had brought up thorium! He said it was always close to ready and had been for decades. When I countered that they have a date set, he said they always set dates and the dates go by. Just seemed like he really has no clue.
If that's the state of knowledge of someone working closely in this aspect of this fairly obscure field, it's no surprise that silex isn't getting the love from investors it deserves. When this hits, it will take everyone by surprise, and a small few of us will reap the bulk of the rewards.
