Paul Biya has been in power for 28 years. He even changed the constitution to keep power. He has contolled who gets elected to the Government to ensure he remains President. As I mentioned in a previous thread some time ago, the only way Biya loses power is by a revolution or an uprising. Cameroon is country rich in natural resources, but has a 70 % unemployment rate. This 70 % unemployemt is the issue. The employed are quite wealthy by West African standards. The is a huge wealth inequity. Cameroon is ripe for a revolt.
GJ has hinted he is aware of these sorts of Sovereign risks and is ready for any challenge.
