Hmmm... since Johnnie succeeded in disarming over 600,000 law abiding Oz citizenry thereby sucking to the 'hysterical mamby-pamby left' for extra votes following Martin Bryant's number ... the semi-auto handgun has become the 'weapon of choice'.

Asian gangs in particular, are said to be particularly fond of large calibre (9mm) handguns and the AFP reported their intelligence estimated that around 30,000 were illegally imported into Oz in 2001.

The irony is that we have strong handgun laws which only shows yet again that the crooks will ignore the law and get whatever they want, whenever they want it.

Martin Bryant was a psycho who was known to and had a history with Police ... enough for him to be disarmed by existing law.

Yet again, too little ... too late.
