    ...nah, I'm pulling your leg. Let's ban them too.

    Actually, to be serious, I don't think it's sensible to equate guns and vehicles, even though both can be lethal. 1) Utility: our society seems to require that ordinary citizens possess cars and trucks, so it would be hard to get by without them. This is not true of guns. 2) Scope: cars offer less scope for mass murder/mayhem; you can't just tuck a ferrari into your pocket, walk into a class room, unpack it, and then start running people over.
