SunnyJim: That is a very interesting post. Did the report do a break down by type of firearm, or is the relationship you mention (or lack thereof) based on all types of firearms. You mentioned at the top of your post that the information was possibly clearest for long firearms. Did they perform a separate analysis for pistols and handguns?
I'm curious about whether there is a relationship with more responsible gun use in countries, such as Switzerland (and maybe Finland), and whether the citizenry are trained in a militia.
