I would like to emphasize I am basically an investor type, not a trader. I buy based on what I believe to be sound going concerns. The charts do not influence that decision, for me.

However, I do use a chart to swing trade that purchase [as a way of trying to make my money work for me in accumulating stock]. I am usually happy to buy steadily in a company when it is unloved. If it attracts buying and the momentum becomes positive I will sit on my holdings and take a profit when that momentum runs out of puff.
