I think the above was one sentence that I took particular exception to.

Just who is "they"? Have a guess. Yes Australians. We have been labeled with the all encompassing "they".

Of course, being a western liberal democracy we have been told for the last 20 or 30 years that it is not appropriate to refer to ethnic groups with "they" because it paints all with the same brush.

Sadly, such notions are not taught in most countries who have not embraced such notions as political correctness, racist terms etc.
