gz what are you on about? GZ this is what you posted
No, Lt. Calley did, as OIC in charge of the patrol.
And Sharon was in charge of the Israeli forces and their murderous allies in crime.
So what is the difference between the 2 situations?
And Ollie North took the rap for Nicaragua.
The man in charge of the troops is responsible.
The buck stops there
B&B Any politician take the rap?"
GZ No, Lt. Calley did, as OIC in charge of the patrol.
B&B Thank you!
GZ And Sharon was in charge of the Israeli forces and their murderous allies in crime.
So what is the difference between the 2 situations?
B&B Big difference, GZ. Sharon was the Minister. Got that? The Defence Minister. he was not in charge of any troops although he was the "man where the buck stops".
Where was the "man where the buck stops" in the Viet Nam episode? In other words why didn't the Defence Minister or who ever runs the Dept of Defence in the USA, why didn't he take the rap and the subsequesnt fall as Sharon did?
GZ And Ollie North took the rap for Nicaragua.
The man in charge of the troops is responsible.
The buck stops there.
Exactly!
So why did it go higher in Sharon's case?
Is that because there are two sets of moral responsibilities? One for the Israelis and another for everyone else?
Still think the cases are identical?
