    No, Lt. Calley did, as OIC in charge of the patrol.
    And Sharon was in charge of the Israeli forces and their murderous allies in crime.
    So what is the difference between the 2 situations?

    B&B Big difference, GZ. Sharon was the Minister. Got that? The Defence Minister. he was not in charge of any troops although he was the "man where the buck stops".

    Where was the "man where the buck stops" in the Viet Nam episode? In other words why didn't the Defence Minister or who ever runs the Dept of Defence in the USA, why didn't he take the rap and the subsequesnt fall as Sharon did?

    So why did it go higher in Sharon's case?

    Is that because there are two sets of moral responsibilities? One for the Israelis and another for everyone else?
