There are two listed cannabis players in Uruguay.
One is $AEB/Algae.Tec. The other is $ICC/ICC Labs, formerly International Cannabis Corp.
On January 5, 2018 Vancouver-based ICC announced plans to triple Uruguayan dried flower production capacity from 50k a year to 150k a year.
ICC intends to produce up to 8m 30ml bottles of its branded cannabinoid oil 'BIDIOL'. It says the new facility will be fully operational by Q2/2018.
On the Toronto market last night, $ICC climbed 22.3% to a record $1.48. MC topped $C200m.
$AEB has signed HoA to buy a 25% stake in Auberna T/A as BioU/United Biogenics. Auberna is one of two companies with a Uruguyan cannabis license. The other is ICC.
At present AEB's market cap is $39m.
