We appreciate your interest in the speculation about AMP Capital and AMP New Zealand. In August 2019, AMP communicated our strategy for our businesses, which included looking at options for the New Zealand Wealth Management operations. For our AMP Capital business our focus is on continuing to drive growth through our real assets businesses – infrastructure equity, infrastructure debt and real estate, as well as building our investment capabilities.

In the lead up to financial reporting it is not uncommon to see speculation in the market. AMP does not comment on this type of speculation, as is common practice among ASX listed companies. AMP will release our full year financial results on 13 February, where we will provide an update on our strategy, including the AMP Life transaction. This will be communicated via email to our shareholders who have elected to receive communications this way, and also in our annual reporting documentation which will be issued in late March. All communications will be lodged with the ASX.
