I think the part where it says "non-binding" is scaring the market. Can you imagine how difficult it is to reach any agreement and price.
Ares thinks AMP is a lost soul and it is rescuing a part of the company. I dont know what AMP thinks because they hardly ever make any announcements. Cant be a result that AMP shareholders will be happy about, I would imagine.
Volumes and SP down on the NZX as well.
