    I don't mind an ETF in the mix.

    Probably worth looking at iShares and Betashares as well as Vanguard.

    So much variety out there in ETF land (but nothing compared to what the Yanks can choose from). Good thing is that our choices are growing all the time.

    Worth thinking about whether you want currency hedging in your ETF. I know some of the Betashares products are currency hedged.

    Also worth looking at how large the spread between the bid and offer typically is. I reckon you do better with a tight spread, especially if you're looking to trade the ETF rather than holding for an extended period.
