    Because koko, directors buying stock during periods of material negotiations have to be very careful re: insider trading rules. Before john kinghorn could increase his holding, RHG would have to give thorough guidance on its positions and exclusions due to 'commercial in confidence' and 'uncertainty' wouldn't look too good. It is also very unlikely he would be able to get an independent valuer like grant samuel to sign off on a SP below 1.50 - not least because the assumptions underpinning such a valuation would be very damaging for its reputation if they were shown to be too pessimistic.
