What's not speculation if you gamble the pennies for dollars if you could not get the big picture, the senses of the future market main trend by the future main economy driving forces, the human nature, and the demands from the main economy driving forces?
What're the stimulus packages for? For financial engineering again in 5 years? China has billions of people. It doesn't need more IO doesn't mean it doesn't need 2 years later.
Do you know the meaning of the strategy and what's the problem for China about resources? It is fatal problem to China when it needs the IO, it has to pay higher price and the supply could not be secured!
How could you know China doesn't want a mine with 1billionT IO? It does want but want to pay as less as possible! Fortunately sometime you could get it very cheap and unfortunately sometime you could get it very expensively.
Don't see the market and IO demand and supply as a static matter. It is not static but dynamic one. It is a mistake to gamble the IO with the static view and a very expensive views.
