    Perhaps we can set up demountable factories next time round, portable steel mills for example that can be quickly shut down and relocated offshore if wages threaten to rise again. Or even better, the companies could mothball factories systematically in different locations so as to discipline labour whenever wages threaten to break out. Actually companies already do this and you see it in their financial statements. They have production here, there and everywhere, Mexico or Shanghai or Port Kembla and overproduction can be best shifted or cut dependent on the vicissitudes of fighting the class war against labour, with casualised labour forces here, there and everywhere.
