One just needs to see face book reaction to the ACCC decision. But the government should not just rest there, next on the block must be the rewriting of the PRRT wrong, I don't care about its retrospectivity, because the facebook case is also retrospective. I also think there should be universal mineral royalties throughout Australia. Here in WA the labor government wanted to raise the gold royalty , but the squeaky wheel got in motion, and even though it past the lower house failed in the upper house, when the price of gold was only $1600. an Oz,but apparently the citizens of WA aren't entitled to an increase in the gold royalty, while the rest of the business world are Okay with iron ore picking up the royalty tab.
