@LoadedDog; historically China has rarely ever been an aggressor, au contraire it's been attacked by others including the UK, Russia, Japan and the USA.
Unlike the USA, China is not an imperialistic country with ambitions to monopolise the World. Its involvement in military conflicts have been within its geographical region - UNLIKE the USA!
Since the end of WW2 China has re-created itself from the ground up. From its enviable cutting edge transport infrastructure to its transition to renewable energy sources, China's modernisation dwarfs that of the EU, the USA and India.
Unfortunately for Australians, the USA has established Australia as its base of operations in the event of any conflict it starts with China and made us the first strike target in the event of the deployment of nukes.
Given the feral conduct of the USA our future security demands that we distance ourselves from the USA - exiting AUKUS, cancelling all defence equipment orders from the USA, banning American social media corporations, banning America's evil far right wing media organisation and expelling all US military personnel from Australian territory.
