Something else to consider, announcing to market "ABC is hamstringing us because they were bought by XYZ" isn't going to win them any great deal of progress. They're better off biding their time and getting through the hoops, rather than making political enemies
If the above has actually happened, it's understandable why they aren't openly sending that message out...
