zacky - I probably didn't phrase my question very well!
I watched the trading on suncorp today and didn't understand the activity.
For most of the day someone appeared to be keeping the buy/sell price between $7.72 and $7.73. Every time $7.73 was taken out a new block of 10k, 15k, 25k or 30k would immeiately replace it. It was constant and a few million shares were traded at or near these prices.
Around 2.30pm the $7.73 sells stopped and the price climbed quickly to $8.00. Then much the same thing happened again with 25k blocks of shares at $8.00. At the same time numerous off market trades worth several million dollars each appeared at $7.98 - $8.05 per share.
I just wasn't sure what was taking place and thought someone more experienced than me (which is just about everyone lol) might know who or what would cause this type of trading activity.
