Yeah, I can never get even close to estimating market movements, primarily because I don't follow broker recommendations and forecasts, against which I suspect most movements are based.
I notice that, across recent times, the CAGR for the EPS has been about 7% and, although the growth rate (EPS) across the reported half yearly periods was much better, the growth for this reported half compared to the second half of 2024 was closer to about 5%. EPS numbers don't hold all the answers and particularly six-monthly movements of course but with the forward P/E sitting around 18 or 19, I suspect that something akin to $9.00 or a little above it is a reasonable price.
