Suffering and death comes from sin, since God cannot sin, He cannot suffer and also cannot die.
I suggest that the counter argument would be that although God can't die and does not sin, he can suffer as a result of the sins of others. Maybe like us suffering as a result of the sin of Adam and Eve.
Jesus was God, therefore He could not have suffered or experienced death. The whole thing was, as I have already mentioned, theatrical.
If that is the case then the sacrifice of Jesus is so watered down that it becomes irrelevant.
In helping people who are suffering, the question is: is it our place to judge them?
