AMX is a very high risk high return explorer. Explorers go up and down dramatically on discoveries (or non discoveries). Discoveries are called "discoveries" because they mean finding something new. New as in not in current results. Which depends on a mix of skill and luck. Lot of luck sometimes.
AMX could go to $3 or even $30 if they find enough new high grade gold shallow gold. But if they don't, it could fade eventually away to a few cents.
The moral of the story is that a stock like AMX might provide a bonanza return but it might not and luck has a lot to do with it.
Just as you would not put more than a few % of your liquid assets on scratchy tickets, AMX should only be a few% of any sane share portfolio.
My own view is upside far outweighs downside risk here, so AMX much much better odds than any scratchy ticket at the moment, but downside risk is still there nevertheless.
