    I'm just learning about TA but have spotted something on the weekly I'd like to share in the interest of discussion. Here's the 6 month, weekly chart and the MACD(5,35,5) below depicting a signal line (green line) crossing the zero line.

    From the Comsec definition pictured below : “It is normally considered bullish when the MACD line is above the signal line and more so when both are above the zero line.”



    Why would you use that?

    “Chartists looking for more sensitivity may try a shorter short-term moving average and a longer long-term moving average. MACD(5,35,5) is more sensitive than MACD(12,26,9) and might be better suited for weekly charts”
